Julie has worked across both the commercial and residential development spectrum and in more recent years has focused on residential and mixed use development, acting for various stakeholders including developers with hundreds of acres of land to be sold and developed, planning promoters and land owners in relation to strategic land development and for developers in relation to PRS (private rented sector/build to rent in) schemes.
Julie has dealt with all aspects of acquisition and disposal of residential land, including setting up complicated freehold and leasehold disposals. Julie’s primary site acquisition, development and site disposal work consists of:
- Site assembly
- Site disposal
- Conditional contracts
- Development agreements
- Planning promotion agreements and equalisation arrangements
- Option agreements
- Joint ventures and collaboration agreements
- Overage agreements
Julie has particular expertise in relation to strategic land and its sale to developers once outline planning is achieved. She ensures that infrastructure arrangements are robust and sufficient rights are reserved for the benefit of remaining land to be developed. Also, these sales often include overage provisions to secure future value for the land owner and Julie is particularly skilled in working with complicated formulae and giving worked examples to ensure clarity and ease at arriving at the intended result.
Julie’s key clients include Hallam Land Management Limited and Earlswood Homes.
