New associates at Shulmans demonstrate strength in depth
We have promoted four of our staff to associate through our bespoke career development scheme.
The Progression in Practice initiative - known as PIP - is an exacting exercise designed to evaluate each individual against specific criteria, continuously developing a bespoke plan intended to guide them to each stage of their career progression. Following the latest six month review, four of our solicitors’ outstanding performance has been recognised.
Lee Stephens, 34, joined the employment team in 2010 and is our most recent recruit to be made associate. He brought a wealth of experience with him from Andrew Jackson of Hull where he was also an associate at the firm.
Kathryn Wood, 33, joined us in 2001 as a property paralegal. Since qualifying as a solicitor with us, Kathryn has become a key member our niche housebuilder team.
Jennifer Chambers, 29, who joined over five years ago, completed her training contract in 2007 before being appointed as a solicitor in the corporate and commercial team. Jennifer specialises in commercial law, company law and the law relating to not-for-profit organisations.
Rob Lucas, 38, who joined as a solicitor, has also been made an associate.
Rob has been an integral part of the commercial team since he joined in 2008; he specialises in the areas of Intellectual Property and Information Technology, as well as Media and Entertainment.
Jeremy Shulman, said: “Career development is very important to us here at Shulmans. PIP has proved an excellent scheme for assisting our colleagues to progress through each stage of their career with us, and we are particularly proud that we are able to recognise the achievements of four of our solicitors at this time.”
