Legal and tax issues around the world – starting and growing a business

A new book covering topics around the incorporation of companies and basic tax issues across 18 jurisdictions has been released by Interlegal and EuraAudit International. The book aims to deliver an introduction to legal and accountancy services for those starting and running businesses around the world, providing a basis to seek more in-depth advice from local specialists.

Shulmans is the UK member of Interlegal, a growing network of independent law firms, representing more than 45 countries internationally. Interlegal’s sister network, EuraAudit, is a network of independent accountants represented around the world.

The UK chapter of the book was drafted by Corporate Finance partner Andrew Bradley. Shulmans’ colleagues also assisted with the editing of chapters written by authors from other jurisdictions. In return for the support in editing the book, Interlegal and EuraAudit are each donating €1,000 to Shulmans’ charity of the year, Leeds Mind.

Shulmans Head of International services, and editor of the book, Jim Wight, commented: “In editing this book, I have noticed that our accountancy and legal systems have more similarities than differences between them. We hope that readers will realise the benefit of specialist, local advice in helping them to achieve their business goals.”
