Neil Towse

HR Manager

Neil has over 15 years’ experience in human resources, having worked in the higher education, not-for-profit and professional services sectors.

Neil’s role at Shulmans is to ensure that the firm remains a great place to work and that there is a positive and supportive environment to allow colleagues to deliver an excellent service to clients and visitors.

Neil is responsible for leading and delivering Shulmans’ HR strategy. He is in charge of career development, which includes looking after the firm’s performance management systems and appraisal processes.

Neil also plays a leading role in managing our recruitment and selection processes.

Neil manages the rewards and benefits that colleagues enjoy at Shulmans, as well as schemes such as the Travel to Work scheme.

Providing a commercially-focused and professional HR support within the firm, Neil is involved in delivering advice, guidance and coaching to all members of the firm. In addition to his responsibilities for ‘people management’, Neil is also the first point of contact for all recruitment matters.

Neil is also part of the Corporate Social Responsibility group, whose members look at all aspects of CSR: making sure that the firm complies with its environmental responsibility and supporting colleagues in undertaking sponsored and charitable events throughout the year for the benefit of the region, its businesses and its people.
